There has been alot of hype around Electronic Arts new title: Spore. The creators of "The Sims" (the largest selling game of all time) have attempted to out do themselves.
Control a user designed species through five different stages of evolution, from a micro-organism that arrives via an asteroid that lands in the water to a civilized land creature and beyond.
The game is essentially 5 parts with a set of tasks to build your creature and eventually your race. The actions you take early in the game change your gameplay later when you advance to another stage. If you attack enemies without making many friends, you'll become an aggressive clan, those big claws and huge teeth were handy when eating small bacteria or unintelligent creatures, but you'll hardly have a use for them when using tanks, sea and aerial vehicles.
Start by selecting a home planet, difficulty level and your creatures food preference(herbivore carnivore, or omnivore). Next you'll be floating around the sea eating fauna or smaller creatures allows you to grow and earn DNA points, while searching for parts of meteor allow you to upgrade your organism to better attack and defend yourself against enemies such as extra eyes, spikes and fins. Find enough meteor pieces and you'll progress onto land with your new grown legs.
