Yet another Marvel comic book hit the big screen this year. A great movie it was. As usual, the PC game was not far behind.
Ironman is a Sega release featuring the voices of the movies cast, including Robert Downey Jr. as "Tony Stark", a billionaire weapons industrialist who is captured by Middle Eastern thugs forcing him to construct a smart missile inside a cavernous lair. He quickly sets about creating an indestructible suit that brandishes a variety of weapons taking out various enemies. This, sounds like the makings of a pretty neat game, unfortunately, this is not the case.

Dodgy cut scenes, mouths that don’t match the voices, and basic gameplay mean your pretty much running from one point to another and pressing a button. There is basically no challenge to this game. With a fairly basic start to this game, my 8 year old son was bored within minutes of the first level. That shouldn't make a difference to any lasting appeal as the game is very short.
The storyline is loosely set on the movie, with other characters from the Ironman comic book series thrown in taking alot from the movie. The sound is very poor, while using the cast form the movie, it doesn't sound like it was recorded in a studio.
There isn't much need to give this title a lengthy review. It would be a waste of valuable time, yours and mine. To be a little fair, it did include parts of the song 'Ironman' by Black Sabbath.
Don't buy this game, if you just did, return it quickly. The most fun you'll have is when you uninstall it. A good contender for PC Offensive's "Worst game of 2008".
