You will also need to configure your routers firewall to allow connection on port 3389.

Changing the Default Port Number

To change the default port number (3389), click the Windows Orb, type regedit and press enter. Navigate to

(HKLM) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber

Select a port that wont have any conflicts with other communications between 50000 and 65000.
Configure your router to forward Remote Desktop Connections to the port you used.
When connecting to the computer, use that port number. For example: 169.123.456.78:65000
