How many times have you seen a question to which everyone should know the answer, but people ask anyways? A Lot of the time a quick google or yahoo search can fin the answer on the first results page, but people as anyways.
Let me Google that for you is a clever way of telling people to google their questions before answering them. It's a good page to have at the top of your bookmarks. Here's how it works:
Google the question someone is asking, if the answer is in the search results, copy the search terms you used and go to this website:
http://lmgtfy.com/
In the search box, paste your search terms and it will generate some code for you. In the Chat, Forums, Boards etc give them the code as a link and it will go to a Google like page, automatically enter the search term, including the mouse movements, and give instructions for the next time they have a stupid question: "Step 1: Type in your question", "Step 2: Click the Search Box", "Was that so hard?". It will then redirect to the google search results. It also includes an option to use tinyurl, although the search URL is usually short enough to copy and paste.
Try it for yourself.
